HAPPILY YOU!

For those of you who know me.. I'd rather stay home and cuddle up with a good movie, popcorn, a blanket, and a nice man than go out on a Friday night. Can I get an amen? 😝  Because that pretty much sums up my nights! Between working and going to school full-time, I'm just like noooo I don't want to go out and spend money. I just want to stay in and relax! I'll leave a gif link below if you want to watch it! It's what I hope my summer will look like! After completing my freshman year at the University of Utah, I need a detox.

I'm really happy about my "staying organized" during this crazy year away at school! Its the busiest I've been in like ever!! This is totally off topic but I thought I should share it will you all for proof that I was actually organized while I was away for school!

Anyway... onto a different topic! Like every other person at night, I sit on my phone scrolling endlessly through my social media feeds. One night an Odyssey article caught my eye. The article was called "Trust Me, You Don't Want Her Life" by Aimee Clemens. (I'll leave the link down below, if your interested in reading the whole article!) It cracked me up while I was reading this because the article sums up my life! Its sad to say that society has degraded/changed what I woman has to "look like" or "act like." Its not fair to the millions of girls in the world. I say woman because I've seen it have a bigger impact than men. Not that I'm saying men's appearances should be one way or another because sadly that's how it is! 

I can relate more to woman. I know how hard it is to grow up today's world. And I wish sometimes it wasn't like that. I don't always like second guessing the way I'm dressed or how I look.. etc. It's tough. In high school I remember not caring as much how I looked. Now that I'm in college I do. I'm a business major so I'll have to get used to dressing somewhat formal, which is the downside to my major. One thing I've learned about myself this year is that I shouldn't compare myself to other girls. I should love the life and body I have! It's going to take some time for me to actually believe in that and in myself more importantly. That's something I'm going to work on this summer!

I love life and all of the opportunities that come with it. Everyone is beautiful and deserves to love living in their own skin! I believe that words have the power to inspire or hinder, and I try to focus on the positive and encourage others to as well!
